RULES AND HOW TO PLAY

Our Pool Rules

This is pool is run as a confidence pool!

Important Information:

  • No refunds for missed weeks!  If you miss a week your money still goes towards the weekly payout.
  • Keep in mind your picks are not automatically updated to the website when you hit submit.
  • All picks will be published at the same time before the first game of each week. (When I get home from work)
  • It is your responsibility to ensure your picks have been received by checking the Picks Received link.
  • Payouts for all the pools will be announced once registration is closed.

Season/Weekly Pool:

  • First you must pick a winner for all the games being played each week.
  • Next you must rank each game based on how confident you are.  For example if there are 16 games being played, you will rank each game on a scale from 1- 16 only using each number once.
  • The games you are confident about you will give them a higher number.
  • The games you are not to confident about you will rank them a lower number.
  • Remember you can only use each number once!
  • For every game you pick correct you will add the number you ranked it as.
  • Add up all the points for the winning games and the one with the most points at the end of the week wins.  Same for Overall Pool  Most points at the end of the season wins.
  •  No partial picks are allowed.  You must pick and rank all the games for each week.
  • All picks are usually due by midnight the day before the first game of the week.
  • Pay attention to your emails and website that tell you when picks are due.
  • Weekly and Season winners are determined by the one with the most confidence points at the end of the week and season.
  • Games that end in a tie will count as a loss.  No points awarded.
  • Weekly tie breaker: Closest one guessing total combined score for the Monday night football game. NO BUST for going over.
  • 2nd tie breaker: Person with the most wins for that week.  If still a tie the money is split.
  • Season over all pool Tiebreak method #1: Person with the most total wins during the season.
  • 2nd tie breaker: Person with the highest winning percentage.  If still a tie the money is split.
High Stakes Survivor Pool:
  • Each week select one team that you think will win outright that week.
  • You can only select a team once throughout the entire regular season (each week select a different team).
  • If you select a team twice it will count as a loss for that week. The Pool Administrator will do his best to let you know that you have selected a duplicate team in your pick sheet via email, but ultimately it is the player's responsibility.
  • If you don't make a selection for the survivor pool it will count as a loss.
  • Ties count as a loss.
  • AFTER 1 LOSS YOU ARE DROPPED FROM THE POOL!
  • This pool continues until there is only one player left, all remaining Survivors go out in the same week, or until the end of the regular season.
  • If at the end of the regular season there is more than one player left or if all remaining Survivors get dropped out of the pool in the same week, the tie breaker is the one with the most games picked correctly during the entire season for all games.
  • If still a tie then the money will be split evenly.
Survivor Pool:
  • Each week select one team that you think will win outright that week.
  • You can only select a team once throughout the entire regular season (each week select a different team).
  • If you select a team twice it will count as a loss for that week. The Pool Administrator will do his best to let you know that you have selected a duplicate team in your pick sheet via email, but ultimately it is the player's responsibility.
  • If you don't make a selection for the survivor pool it will count as a loss.
  • Ties count as a loss.
  • After your SECOND loss, you are dropped out of the pool.
  • This pool continues until there is only one player left, all remaining Survivors go out in the same week, or until the end of the regular season.
  • If at the end of the regular season there is more than one player left or if all remaining Survivors get dropped out of the pool in the same week, the first tie breaker will pay out the one(s) with the least number of games lost within the survivor pool, (either 0 or 1).
  • If still a tie it would go to the one with the most games picked correctly during the entire season for all games.
  • If still a tie then the money will be split evenly.

High 5 Pool

  • Each week you pick a winner for any 5 different games.
  • You can NOT pick both teams playing in a game.
  • You must select who you think will win straight up.
  • The more games you win, the greater the points earned.
  • 1 win = 1 pt, 2 wins = 3 pts, 3 wins= 5 pts, 4 wins=8 pts, 5 wins = 12 pts.
  • Most points at the end of the Season wins.
  • Tie Breaker- Player with the most games picked correctly during the entire season for all games.

Low Position Out:

  • Each week you must pick a winner for each game being played.
  • At the end of each week we drop the lowest 4 confidence points.
  • The last person left is the winner.
  • In the event of a tie it would go to the one with the most games picked correctly during the entire season for all games.
  • If still a tie then the money will be split evenly.

Margin Pool:

  • A Margin Pool is similar to a Survivor Pool where you pick one team each week.
  • Once a pool member picks a team, he cannot pick that team again.
  • If his team wins, the winning margin, or margin of victory is added to his season point total.
  • If his team loses, then the losing margin is subtracted from his season point total.
  • The pool member that has the most points at the end of the season is the winner.
  • In the event of a tie it would go to the one with the most games picked correctly during the entire season for all games.

In the example below all the games in green are games picked correctly for each week.  The numbers indicate the winning/losing margin.  Week 8 Joy picked New England to win and they did by 45 points.  So that's +45 points.  New Orleans loss by 8 points so that -8 to her score.

Bracket Pool:

  • Bracket Pool is played heads up.

  • People are randomly assigned to a spot on the bracket.

  • At the end of the week the player who scored on the most points advances to the next round.

  • Loser is out.

  • Winners of each round continue on each week till there is only 1 left standing.

  • In the event of a tie the Monday Night tie breaker goes into effect.  Closest to total score for Monday night game.

  • If still a tie the 2nd tie breaker will be W/L record for the season.

Perfect Pool:

  • Each player buys in at the beginning of the season.

  • Play continues until the first person(s) to score a perfect score during one of the regular season weekly games.
  • Person hitting the perfect score collects the pot from all those who bought in.
  • Players then re-buy again to continue play if they choose.
  • Should no one hit a perfect score during the regular season, the money is carried over to the next season.
  • In the event of multiple people getting a perfect week, the money will be chopped evenly

Playoff Rank Em Pool:

Sportsbook with Parlay and Single wagers:

Each player will have a starting bank of 1000 points “dollars”. Each week the player can bet on 1 to 4 cards (Parlay Card and 3 single Sportsbook Cards) The max bet on each card is 500 points, but the amount in their bank will indicate how much a player can bet. The player can never bet more than the available points in their bank. If you go bankrupt, you are out of the pool.  POINT SPREAD WILL BE USED FOR THIS GAME.

Parlay Card
The Parlay Card is a pool which the player selects a minimum of 2 and the maximum of 5 games on a single Parlay card. The more games they select, the bigger the odds and the bigger the payout.

The odds for the Parlay Card are as follows:
2 games pays 3 to 1 (bet 10, win 30)
3 games pays 6 to 1 (bet 10, win 60)
4 games pays 10 to 1 (bet 10, win 100)
5 games pays 20 to 1 (bet 10, win 200)

In the Parlay Card, ALL teams MUST win to win the points. Lose one game on the card, lose the card. We will be playing with the point spread. The minimum bet is 5 points, the maximum bet on the Parlay Card is 500. There is a dropdown list on the card to place your bet amount.

Sportsbook Cards
There are three individual cards to bet on. The payout odds for each card is 1 to 1 (bet 10, win 10). In each of the three Sportsbook cards, the player only needs to pick one game per card and the player can bet on one, two or all three cards. We will be playing with the point spread. The max bet on each Sportsbook card is 500 points. There is a dropdown list on the card to place your bets.

The idea is this:
The player can bet 200 points on the Parlay Card, 500 points on 1 single Sportsbook bet and 250 points on a second Sportsbook bet. Or just do 1 bet of 250 on a single Sportsbook bet. There is some strategy since you are eliminated from the pool once your bank goes down to zero points. The player MUST make a bet each week, no coasting.

Target 33 Pool :

Software will pick random teams for players each week. Nothing to pick. It is all random.
If your team scores 33 points, you are credited with a win that week.
1st place only to the player(s) who have the most wins at the end of the Regular Season.
In 2021, the 31 Target points was hit 11 times.
In the event of ties at the end of the season, the prize will be split among the 1st place ties.
In the event no team hits 33 points by the end of the Regular Season, the target point will be adjusted down until there is at least 1 hit on the target.
The target point will be adjusted to 32, if no winner, then adjusted to 31, etc.

Enjoy The Pool!
